Scope and content

This file contains mostly correspondence about the collaboration between the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, India, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland. The letters in this file are from November to December of 1985. This is the file that notes the change in collaborative parties. Here, one of the collaborators, the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, India, is replaced with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, India. This contains one letter addressed to Edwin D Becker, Associate Director for Research Services of the Department of Health and Human Services, USA, which has two enclosures of the same memorandum. One of the enclosures is a photocopy of the draft 'Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation Between the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, India, and the Intramural Research Program of the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA' and two appendices. This also includes another corrected photocopy of the same, where the collaborative party's name is corrected from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) to the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). This also has another letter from Edwin D Becker along with which he encloses the revised 'Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation Between the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, India, and National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA' and two annexures.
