Correspondence on invitation to formal dedication of new complex of CCMB to PM Rajiv Gandhi

This file contains draft invitation letters prepared for inviting guests to the official dedication of the new complex of the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, on November 26, 1987, by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. A few of these documents also mention a lecture series on frontier areas of modern biology. Multiple copies of identical letters are preserved because each has unique annotations. This includes two notes from PM Bhargava. This contains a proposal for both events. This file includes a 1985 letter from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) that discusses both the inauguration ceremony and the symposium. The proposed dates for both events were scheduled for 1986 in this letter. This also has two notices titled 'For the Kind Attention of Invitees to the 26th November 1987 Function at the CCMB' and 'RE: Scientific meetings being organized from 19th December 1987 at the time of the formal dedication of the new CCMB complex by the Prime Minister'. Two copies of the second notice are retained since one is an edited version of the other. This notice also has the list of 'Participants from the CCMB'. This file also has a handwritten note which is retained after the undated documents.
