      <dc:description>This file contains documents pertaining to financial assistance from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for foreign scientists who would be attending the inauguration of Jonaki, a new complex at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) as well as the symposium on &amp;#039;Frontiers of Tomorrow in Biology&amp;#039;. Both of these events occurred almost concurrently in 1987. This funding is provided as part of a collaboration between the NIH and CSIR (CCMB). The letters in this file are arranged from B to E. This file contains correspondence either addressed to or written by Edwin D Becker, Associate Director of the NIH, and Robert Eliss of the Fogarty International Center at the NIH. A letter addressed to Becker includes annexures as enclosures which are retained as found. Since one copy of a telegram contains an extra paragraph at the outset, both are saved.
